Code
of Conduct
London Strollers HC operates on a social basis and as such respect should be given as a matter of course to teammates, umpires and the opposition. Instances of abuse will be referred to the Committee for appropriate action in accordance with English Hockey guidance.
The Club will abide by the England Disciplinary Code (contained in the Rules of Field Hockey) and the Committee shall have the power to suspend Members from playing or umpiring hockey in accordance with that Code. The Committee shall have authority to suspend membership from any Member/Guest. It will also give consideration to suspending 'frequency of play' to any opposing Club who consistently contravene the standards set out in the Code
Members
joining after 1 January
Membership fee to be reduced (pro rata) in agreement with the Treasurer and payable within three weeks of participating in the Club's playing activities.
Match
fees
Match fees are payable each time a player plays for the Club (unless otherwise agreed by the Treasurer) and irrespective of home or away matches.
Team Captains are charged with responsibility for ensuring that records are accurately maintained to show who has paid, the actual amount and what it is for. Money MUST be deposited within TWO weeks of completion of each match (a paying-in book will be provided on request to the Treasurer), or directly to the Treasurer.
Committee
meetings
Committee meetings will be held at least bi-monthly during the
winter playing season (September – April inclusive). Appointed
Representatives are obliged to attend Committee meetings.
